Arrival & City Tour

Upon arrival, your guide will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. Begin with a gentle orientation of this charming UNESCO town.

Late Morning: Temples & Royal Heritage

Visit Wat Xieng Thong, a masterpiece of Lao architecture known for its elegant rooflines and intricate mosaics. Continue to the Royal Palace Museum, where royal history and sacred treasures reveal the story of Laos’ past.  

Lunch: Local Lao Flavours

Enjoy a traditional Lao meal featuring regional dishes and fresh ingredients.  

Afternoon: Phou Si Hill

Climb Phou Si Hill for panoramic views over the Mekong River and surrounding mountains.  

Evening: Night Market

Mekong Cruise & Kuang Si Waterfall

Travel by traditional boat along the Mekong River to the sacred Pak Ou Caves, home to thousands of Buddha statues.

Yes, the program strictly follows a no-riding policy and focuses on animal welfare and conservation.

November to February offers the best weather conditions.

Tour Terms & Conditions

1. Booking and Payment

• Deposit: A 30% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
• Final Payment: The remaining balance must be paid in full at least 24 hours before the tour departure.
• Payment Methods: We accept Cash (USD, LAK, THB) and Credit Cards (Visa/Mastercard). Please note a 3% transaction fee applies to card payments.

2. Cancellation and Refunds

• 48+ Hours Notice: Full refund of the balance (excluding the 30% deposit).
• 24–48 Hours Notice: 50% of the total tour price will be charged as a cancellation fee.
• Less than 24 Hours / No Show: 100% of the total tour price is non-refundable.
• Force Majeure: If Mekong Spirit Travel cancels a tour due to extreme weather or safety concerns, a full refund or alternative date will be offered.

3. Travel Insurance & Health

• Insurance: It is a condition of booking that all travelers have valid personal travel insurance covering medical expenses and accidents.
• Fitness Level: Guests are responsible for choosing a tour suitable for their physical ability. Please inform us of any medical conditions or dietary restrictions (allergies) in advance.

4. Passports and Visas

• Guests must carry a valid passport. For tours involving the Lao-China Railway (High-Speed Train), a clear copy of your passport is required at least 3 days in advance for ticket registration.

5. Responsibility

• Mekong Spirit Travel acts as an intermediary for transport and local activities. While we maintain high safety standards, we are not liable for loss, damage, or injury sustained outside of our direct control.

6. Itinerary Changes

• We reserve the right to modify tour routes or activities due to river levels, weather conditions, or local government regulations to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests.
